			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>&#8216;Microsoft puts it on the line and ups the ante to $33 per share in the bid for Yahoo; the initial offer of $31 per share has peeked the interest of investors and results in Yahoo&#8217;s acceptance&#8217; – that is what I predict will be the headline in the near future.</p>
<p><!--adsense--></p>
<p>For those of you that don&#8217;t quite understand the wild growth of Google stock and how <a href="http://www.monetizers.com" title="Monetizers">Monetizers</a> (your next door neighbors) are getting rich creating websites, let me explain it simple terms. Let me also explain why Microsoft&#8217;s has Google&#8217;s full attention right now and why this buyout is so important to Microsoft.</p>
<p><strong>Adsense and how your neighbor is getting rich</strong></p>
<p>Google has an advertising program, adwords and adsense. If you own a business, then you can use adwords to design your own ad. This ad will appear on Google sites and websites owned by individuals and companies around the world. Google tells you what you&#8217;ll have to pay if someone clicks your ad (it&#8217;s a suggestion, but if you don&#8217;t run with that suggestion, your ad may not even appear).</p>
<p>Adsense allows owners of websites to place a piece of code on their site. This code runs when someone views a webpage and retrieves ads from Google. Google decides which ads will appear on your site.</p>
<p>Google may charge a plastic surgeon $10.00 per click to take out an ad that will appear on the internet (good deal considering the plastic surgeon obtains one new customer for every 10 clicks). The owner of a website with information about plastic surgery may receive $2 for the click, not bad considering the website gets 100 clicks per day.</p>
<p>Daily profit:<br />
The surgeon who took out the ad (adwords) received 10 new customers averaging $5,000 in business per client for a total of $50,000 and only spent $1,000.<br />
Yearly profit for Surgeon: $17,885,000!</p>
<p>The website owner who stays at home and writes articles about plastic surgery, makes $200 per day.<br />
Yearly profit for website owner: $73,000</p>
<p>Google, who charged the surgeon $10 for each ad that appeared (and was clicked) on the website about plastic surgery and gave the website owner $2 for the same click, made 8$ per click.<br />
Yearly profit for Google is $292,000</p>
<p>Crazy, isn&#8217;t it – everybody wins (and this is just one site in a sea of millions that Google is making money on!).</p>
<p><strong>Google puts a stop to Yahoo, dominates internet advertising</strong></p>
<p>The scenario above was when Google first started their adsense program. Yahoo entered the advertising game late, but did so by offering the surgeon the same ad for $9 ( rather than $10) and the website owner $3 per click (rather than $2).</p>
<p>Google has a lot going for them, they were first, they have ad delivery down to a fine art and a very large advertiser base.</p>
<p>Google retaliates against Yahoo by cutting the cost of the ad for the surgeon to $8.75 and paying the website owner $3.10. The race is on and in the end, Yahoo is driven down to a price that can&#8217;t compete with Google. To this day, Google, on average, pays better than Yahoo.</p>
<p><strong>Google&#8217;s quarterly profits downward decline?</strong></p>
<p>The shareholders still expect their profits to increase and Google needs to report higher earnings even though they are making less. They decide to pay the webmaster less per click so that they can report higher earnings next quarter.</p>
<p>Today, webmasters are making just a fraction of what they were when this all started. The surgeon is still paying $8.75 per ad, but the website owner is down to .50 per click from $3.10. The website owner can&#8217;t really complain, $18,250 for running a website isn&#8217;t all that bad.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.monetizers.com/Images/monetizers.jpg" alt="Monetizers" align="left" border="0" height="60" hspace="5" width="63" /></p>
<p>There are limits to the amount Google can take before website owners decide to find other means to <a href="http://www.monetizers.com" title="Monetize your website">monetize their website</a> and for many, that limit has been reached.</p>
<p>Yahoo, beat down from the race with Google, is suffering, it needs something new. They can&#8217;t compete with Google alone and Microsoft has the backing that Yahoo needs to succeed.</p>
<p><strong>Can Yahoo Survive the Internet Advertising War?</strong></p>
<p>Yahoo has all the components to stand head to head with Google, so why are they so far behind? It all comes down to ad targeting! When Google displays an ad on a website, it reads the webpage content that the ad sits on and comes up with a targeted ad; this is called contextual advertising.</p>
<p>If you have a website on the risks of plastic surgery, Google’s code looks for advertisers dealing with reconstructive surgery. If your website is about <a href="http://www.muskegon-mi.gov/kiteboarding/kiteboarding.asp">Kiteboarding on the beaches of Muskegon</a>, then you’ll find Google show advertisements from companies selling Airfoils and related equipment.</p>
<p>Google’s ability to match an Ad with a webpage is amazing! Yahoo on the other hand, does a poor job in many areas. If the ads are not targeted (don’t match the sites content), then people are less likely to click the ad; end result, website owners makes less, advertisers (like the surgeon) make less and people move back to Google.</p>
<p>Matching ads to content is the key to Yahoo’s success! Yahoo doesn’t have the advertiser base that Google does and therefore, can’t cover as many areas as Google can (such as kiteboarding); however, inject Microsoft’s advertiser base into the mix, and ad targeting will have the accuracy needed to succeed!</p>
<p><strong>The Winner in the Coming Ad War is Clear!</strong></p>
<p>Microsoft needs Yahoo&#8217;s advertising program and Yahoo needs Microsoft money and resources. If Microsoft is successful, then the end result will result in another ad pricing war where one winner will emerge.</p>
<p>The search engine that is willing to pay website owners more and accept less in profits will obtain most of the webmasters. Microsoft has a large product base while Google&#8217;s profits come from internet advertising. Take away the money made from internet advertising and Microsoft can still survive, the question is, can Google?</p>
<p>Google will do what they can to keep website owners from jumping camp, and that means paying more per click. Microsoft, knowing that website owners have seen their profits decline, will offer payouts that are too good to pass up. In the end, the winner will be those of you who own websites. </p>
<p>The seed has been planted, change will happen, the only question is, are you ready? </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><!--adsense--></p>
<p>Many webmasters buy PR for their site. They find a site that has a PR of 8 for example and buy a link to their site. After a while, your site ends up with a high(er) PR and you in turn can sell PR or the site in whole; provided the site you are buying from does not have Fake PR.</p>
<h2>Buying PR</h2>
<p>Buying PR is not something I recommend, but if you must, make sure the site you&#8217;re buying from does not <strong>Fake PR</strong>. </p>
<p>Let me first tell you how websites Fake PR, then I&#8217;ll explain how to <em>detect Fake PR</em>. Some of you may object to me making this information available, but trust me, the people who use this technique are well aware of it!</p>
<h2>Faking Pagerank</h2>
<p>Sites fake PR by looking for the Googlebot, then redirecting it to a high PR site, like Yahoo.com. Google sees that users actually land on Yahoo.com and the PR Bar in turn reflects the PR of the Yahoo.com rather than your site.</p>
<p>Here is an example of what Fake PR code looks like:</p>
<blockquote><p><?php<br />
/* insert a cloaking script here to detect whether the visitor is<br />
Googlebot */<br />
if (Googlebot) {<br />
echo '<meta ht tp-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=http://www.google.com/">&#8216;;<br />
exit();<br />
}<br />
else {<br />
echo &#8220;
<p>My PR10 page!</p>
<p>&#8220;;<br />
}<br />
?></p>
</blockquote>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Detect Fake Pagerank</h2>
<p>To detect <strong>Fake Pagerank</strong>, simply type in the webpage, such as www.SiteWithFakePR.com into Google&#8217;s search and look at the cache. The cache will not be that of the site with Fake PR, it will be the site with the actual PR.</p>
<h2>Fake PR Example</h2>
<p>Here is a site that fakes their Pagerank: www.pr10.darkseoteam.com and they also include examples of Fake PR 10, Fake PR9, Fake PR8 and more. Notice how the cache is of Google.com and not www.pr10.darkseoteam.com? Try it for yourself, put www.pr10.darkseoteam.com into the search field of Google and see the results for yourself. </p>
<p>So, if you&#8217;re buying pagerank, be very careful and check it for yourself. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><!--adsense--></p>
<p>
Link Vault is an excellent website marketing strategy made up of a large group of quality websites. Each new member must bring to the network at least one high quality website and make available a few links slots for existing members. In return you receive &#8216;Vaultage&#8217; which you use to receive links from the other members websites.</p>
<p>
Each website added to the network will be vetted by a person before any links are placed to ensure it meets the \strict quality guidelines. Should you wish to use your Vaultage quota to provide text link adverts to a website not in the system, then this website will also need to pass the vetting.</p>
<p>
Link Vault is completely free and the set up is straightforward, flexible and easily customized. All the links are static, unless you delete them or the site is removed. You also have full control over the number of text links you receive.</p>
<p>
Choose Link Vault - I have sent out emails to many asking for links and get only a small number of replies. Why not have a program that automates the task and even better still is not necessarily reciprocal.</p>
<p>
The Link Vault is a PHP or ASP program installed onto your site with some code onto each page that you want links on. The program then adds up to 5 links on each of your pages. You then get given links on other peoples websites based on the Google PR of your and their pages.</p>
<p>
The link vault is the new kid on the block - started April 2005. Until now, I have been using the Digitalpoint Coop as one method of getting additional links. Only problem is that the links are rotating, and Google is not so keen on links that are here today and showing somewhere else at the next moment. I have suffered with the Digitalpoint co-op - I have seen initial high rankings drop once Google has realized that the links are rotating.</p>
<p>
So when any existing player is not interested in changing, a new player always enters the market. </p>
<p>
The link vault has:</p>
<ul>
<li> Permanent links - not rotating like the Digitalpoint co-op</li>
<li> You build up your weight based on the Google PR of each page that has links on it. Vaultage is updated every half hour and vaultage is evaluated as pages are visited. It is therefore good to send a robot around your pages. But since it takes a while for vaultage to be used up, it doesn&#8217;t matter that the vaultage takes a while to accumulate.</li>
<li> You don&#8217;t have to have links on every page - on the co-op you have to have links on every page.</li>
<li> Weight is based on an exponential formula similar to that of the Google PR, so you get lots more for a PR5 than you do a PR4 etc. I helped with deciding what formula to use.</li>
<li> Weight gets used up based on the PR of the page that links to you</li>
<li> Links are added up to a maximum 20 links per day for any one url - Google prefers a gradual increase in the number of back links. Any large increase in links speaks of spam according to the April 2005 Google patent application.</li>
<li> You have the ability to add up to 30 url&#8217;s for Link Vault sites to link to per domain. Additional with the referral system. Each url can have up to 3 different link texts pointing at it at varying percentages.</li>
<li> A maximum of 5 of any one link , and a maximum of 20 links on any one domain - means there is not the risk of the Google same site penalty (too many links from any one site).</li>
<li> The programming prevents their being recipricol links</li>
<li> Any one site can&#8217;t have links on more than 50% of the rest of the network</li>
<li> You can limit links to language (I recommend that you don&#8217;t limit, so you get the most possible links. Especially while the link vault is only in its infancy).</li>
<li> Links and sites are personally vetted by link vault staff.</li>
<li> No adult, gambling, weapons, pharmaceuticals, spam, general website directories, &#8216;offensive&#8217; websites.</li>
<li> Must be legal products, suitable for family audience, recognized by the main search engines, main index page recognized by search engines.</li>
<li> Links are first added to sites in your category - based on the demo top level categories. Then links are added to other sites within the Link Vault.</li>
<li> You get credit for the best PR of 20,000 of your pages</li>
<li> Every site you add to your account gets treated as a referral (see following post). I was instrumental in getting this feature added. Previously it was only on actual referrals.</li>
<li> You can specify that you don&#8217;t get links from sites on your account to each other - this is important so that your sites don&#8217;t get treated as being the same site by Google - in this case only site would get shown for a query.</li>
<li> You get shown the Link Vaultage that has been used for each of your pages receiving links - this is very useful in deciding when to stop adding links.</li>
<li> You get shown the total links that have added per domain, and number of url&#8217;s you have per domain - able to access the links sorted by domain via a drop down menu.</li>
<li> Links are given to you in as fair a method as possible - PR0 links first, then ever increasing. The total number of links available and their PR&#8217;s are known by the Link Vault. They then distribute these links in a pyramid fashion. ie With 40 links they will spread over 4 different levels of page value in a pyramid fashion.</li>
<li> The date is shown that you added the site and had it approved, and the date you added the url&#8217;s to receive links (added around 20th May 05)</li>
<li> Clicking on the links does a Google search for that phrase.</li>
<li> If you take the max links down to less than what you already have - Example: one of the links set to a max of 100. It had 75 &#8216;links placed&#8217; then reduced max down to 50. Then the &#8216;links placed&#8217; went down to 50. Those 25 links are removed are the most recent links added (being the highest vaultage). You get the vaultage given back to you.</li>
</ul>
<p>Have I convinced you yet?
</p>

<P>This <em>URL Encoder</em> is a good way to encoder or hide html text.<br />
Our URL Encoder is a tool that converts HTML code into a Unicode string which means the text looks scrambled when<br />
your source code is viewed, but when executed as a web page, appears to be normal.</p>
<p>URL Encoder is not a way to protect your code, but is does a great job as a deterent to those that would otherwise attempt to view your code in passing.<br />
 Chances are, they&#8217;ll just move on.</p>
<p>To get started encoding, simply enter your code in the box below, press the covert button and you&#8217;ll instantly see the results. To finish, simply cut and paste the new code into the spot where the orginal code would was and save your changes.</p>
<h2>URL Encoder Decoder</h2>
<p>Place the code to be <em>Encoded</em> or <em>Decoded</em> below. When decoding, enter only the code between the starting &#8216; and ending &#8216;.</p>
<p>* Updating Module - Try this Encoder / Decoder&#8230;</p>
<p>Use this <a href="http://www.auditmypc.com/html-encoder.asp" Title="HTML Encoder Decoder">HTML Encoder</a> until we finish updating ours.</p>
<p>Perform <A href="http://www.monetizers.com/encoder-decoder.php" Title="URL Encoder Decoder">HTML Encode / Decode</a> again.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><!--adsense--></p>
<p>Ever wonder what getting cut from the Contextweb is like? I received this without notice and thought I would post it for your review. I had this on a site that was only bringing in a few hundred unique visitors per day; it would have been nice to receive a warning first. The email addresses and phone number has been changed to prevent unnecessary spam from reaching the contextad team.</p>
<p>Dear <em>ContextAd</em> Publisher:</p>
<p>We appreciate your participation in our <em>ContextAd</em> partnership program. However, we regret to inform you that you have not met your monthly minimum of 50,000 impressions and therefore <b>will not receive payment</b> for the previous month. [that was about $180 last time I looked - couldn't log in to verify!]</p>
<p>We would very much so like to continue working with you in the future and recommend that you contact a business development manager to discuss how you can increase your level of monthly impressions. You can contact your business development manager directly, send an email to xyze@xyz.com or call 111.111.1111.</p>
<p>Thank you again for your business.</p>
<p>Best regards,</p>
<p>The <strong>ContextAd</strong> Team</p>
<p>If you have any technical questions or concerns regarding your account, please email <em>ContextAd</em>&#8217;s support team at xyz@xyz.com </p>
<hr />
<p>Note: The payout was very poor (a few cents per click) and had a small and very limited interface for administration. Why sites like this cut people for low traffic with sending a warning is anyone&#8217;s guess, but they are loosing out doing this; webmasters need to try such programs out on their smaller sites first to see if the payout is even worth it! Adsense still rules.</p>
<p>To their credit, they did ask that I contact their business development team, but the payout is so low that I&#8217;ll just bail at this point.</p>
<p>See how <a href="http://www.monetizers.com/adsense-alternatives.php" Title="Adsense Alternatives">ContextAd compares to Adsense</a>.</p>
